We talked about premature ejaculation causes in the previous post, and we will continues discussing about premature ejaculation signs, symptoms, types and risk factors for developing it. Per definition, premature ejaculation is when a man ejaculates before or shortly after penetration or ejaculates sooner during intercourse than he or his partner would wish. While erectile dysfunction is widely talked about and many companies are producing effective drugs for its treatment, premature ejaculation seems to be little known about and remedies might not be immediately available or even effective so we are going to talk about premature ejaculation signs, types and risk factors for developing premature ejaculation in this post.
WHAT ARE THE RISK FACTORS FOR DEVELOPING PREMATURE EJACULATION?
While there are no definite causes for premature ejaculation, some risk factors are well known. Erectile dysfunction may put you at increased risk of premature ejaculation. The fear of losing your erection may cause you to consciously or unconsciously hurry through sexual encounters. Medical problems causing anxiety during sex, e.g. heart conditions, may cause the same mechanism to be responsible for developing premature ejaculation. Emotional or mental stress can also play a role in developing premature ejaculation. Stress can limit your ability to relax and focus during sexual encounters and lead to premature ejaculation. Furthermore, certain medications which influence hormonal or neurotransmitter levels may cause premature ejaculation.
PREMATURE EJACULATION SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
ISSM, Premature Ejaculation SignsWhile there is no definite cut-off time for ejaculation, the International Society of Sexual Medicine has endorsed a definition including “ejaculation which always or nearly always occurs prior to or within about one minute.” One of the primary premature ejaculation signs is that ejaculation occurs before both partners wish. However, the problem may occur in all sexual situations, even during masturbation so this one could be one of premature ejaculation signs.
PREMATURE EJACULATION TYPES
Furthermore, premature ejaculation is classified into two major types: lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary) and this could be determined by observing and checking premature ejaculation signs and symptoms.
PRIMARY PREMATURE EJACULATION SIGNS
It is characterized as ejaculation that always or nearly always occurs within one minute of vaginal penetration so having a quick ejaculation is one of primary premature ejaculation signs. Men suffering from primary premature ejaculation are kind of “used to” the situation and sexual relations are usually not associated with worries, stress, or unpleasant experiences.
SECONDARY PREMATURE EJACULATION SIGNS
Secondary premature ejaculation has the same characteristics as primary premature ejaculation, with the huge difference that secondary premature ejaculation appears after initial “regular” ejaculations and satisfactory sexual relations. Secondary premature ejaculation is usually associated with huge amount of physical and psychological distress and can negatively affect sexual relations, self esteem, and may even result in depression.
